A Brief Summary
With 8+ years of experience in design and more than 3 years in art direction, I can help you with any project you may have from marketing to brand identity to website design. I’m quirky, passionate, insightful, and fun with an affinity for happy hours and sunshine. With a bachelor's in Psychology and an associate's in Visual Communication, I have a great combination of skills in regards to design/problem solving that allows me to not only look at things in a granular way to fine tune the details, but I approach every project with big picture thinking, keeping in mind audience, budget, and more.
My Experience
As a designer, I've been doing freelance for nearly a decade but was very lucky to also work with a team of creatives as an in-house designer where I learned the essentials of collaborating among departments and making the brand shine through campaigns and direct marketing.
I've since moved into a role at a creative agency where I'm able to lend my talent for leading and creative thinking on a multitude of projects with a wide variety of companies. From healthcare to outdoor lifestyle to higher education, I have had the privilege of working with wonderful clients and helping them achieve their business goals.
My Process
Conversationalist by nature, I love a good collaborative session to kick off the start of a new project. I want to know the ins and outs of the client, understand their current audience, prospective audiences, their language, their look and feel. From there (project dependent) I start the research and ideation phase of whatever the ask might be. Again utilizing group strategies and collaboration, I find the ideation/research phase to be pivotal to any project.
Making this sound easier than it is, once ideas have been generated, sketching and mood boards can be created to help take the idea from a concept to reality with concepts then being manifested digitally for a cleaner, client facing presentation.
